![]() View image here: -) Though if I had to say which was best in terms of gameplay concept, I would easily vote for SupCom. Thus, I have a personal preference towards the sort of gameplay that DoW offers. SupCom obviously wins on scale of combat and depth of strategy, but it lacks what some would call flavor or character.Īnd for those reasons, my vote goes to DoW, but I think that's only because I like stuff to look cool, and I prefer to manage fewer units. How many people have tried all of them? Which do you like the most?ĬoH was a great game, but IMO, it was a lot like a slightly more chaotic 40k with a WWII skin set, and many of us are pretty sick of any WWII related games. How many have tried at least two or three of those? What gets the play time these days? How does it compare to the other three big RTS games? Virtually no environment to interact with, but the ability to zoom way out and control the war from an economy standpoint instead focusing on a few units.Īnd finally Command and Conquer 3 is out. ![]() Instead of a few very detailed units like CoH, or even DC in relation to SupCom, it was all about setting up a base and cranking out big numbers. Then Supreme Commander came out as the spiritual successor to Total Annihilation. Very similar game play to CoH, but set in a cool sci-fi universe instead of WW2. ![]() Then the Warhammer 40,000 : Dawn of War : Dark Crusade 'expansion' came out allowing player to join the DoW universe, without owning the original title. Top notch gfx, super detail, great physics, and a very fast aggressive pace. ![]() Fully destructible and buildable environments allowing for cover to change and allowing the player to use the environment to force their opponent to change their tactics. Company of Heroes came out last Sept and really raised the bar for an RTS. ![]()
